seeing for the first time
i walked around my village yesterday for over an hour. no, i didn't want to torture myself. i just wanted to shed off some really unwanted pounds. you see, we might go back to bora before this month ends and i wanna look good. besides, i have a total of 3 new bikinis from the states (i had 2 shipped and tita malou got me another one) and i think they deserve to be shown off. anyway, i really enjoyed it. i never realized how interesting our village is.
to begin with, i hardly know anyone in our neighborhood. im just familiar with our area, not really aware of those around us. it's funny when i get to meet people who live here. like in my previous job, i had two officemates who did. anyway, i just fell in love with my village yesterday. after years of living here, i finally see why my parents just love it here. the parks are so pretty! like there's this one park that had a pathway lined with trees that bended and formed a sort of tunnel. and there are at least two parks with a gazebo. really nice.
the houses here aren't too shabby either. of course some are weird or old, but some are really beautiful. there's this house that looks like something straight out of london, iron gates and all. there's also this other one that had a mediterranean thing going on, and it really looks great. seeing them makes me want to have our house renovated!
before, i used to think that the best thing about living here was the proximity of ateneo, the different malls and of course, edsa. but after really seeing my village for the first time, i just know that this is one of the best locations to go home to.
