at long last

madel and matt met through a common friend. madel was actually seeing someone else, but matt persisted. she would come home from a date and often find matt waiting for her, with food for them to share. madel was half-annoyed and half-flattered. she just let him continue, thinking that he would soon give up. but madel was wrong. gradually, she warmed up to matt. she even agreed to go out with him in one condition- she would still go out with the other guy. matt, thankful for anything that madel could give him, happily obliged. this set-up continued for some time. she and her friends were constantly treated to out of town trips and good food. as time passed, madel started to get confused. who did she really want to be with? she prayed to God and asked for a sign. whoever visits her at home first is the one for her. deep inside, madel was hoping that it wasn't matt. but it was.

now, 25 years, 2 daughters (one of which is me), 1 son, 1 grandchild, 1 million trips, 3 million fights and 1 billion meals together, they are getting married in church for the very first time. madel will finally have the wedding that she has always dreamed of, not just with the man of her dreams, but also with the man who has always dreamed of her.
